Project Proposal - Sec 6

6       Tasks and Project Deliverables


The following tasks and deliverables are representative of the work Design Hub performs during this cycle of our methodology.

6.1  Planning Phase

There will be 4 tasks and 1 deliverable for the client to sign off on during the planning phase. List of tasks:
Task   1.    Client Interview
Task   2.    Project Brief
Task   3.    Requirements Matrix
Task   4.    Site Map
Task   5.  Wire Frame

6.1.1  Task 1: Client Interview

Design Hub will interview the client to discover that the needs of the client as it relates to the client’s goods or services and who their target audience is.

6.1.2  Task 2: Project Brief 

After the client interview, Design Hub will put a project brief together that will allow us to establish the needs of the client, who their target audience is and what features need to be introduced. 

  

6.1.3  Task 3: Requirements Matrix

The Requirements Matrix will outline the key features that are needed on the site. This will act as a checklist as we build out the site.

 

6.1.4  Task 4: Site Map

Once we have a clear understanding of what content and features are required, we’ll create a site map that is user friendly and intuitive. The site map will determine how many pages there are.

6.1.5  Task 3: Wire Frames

The wire frames are the bare bones layout of the web site and depict where the navigation, content and images will go in the web page. 

6.2  Design Phase 

There will be two tasks during the planning phase. List of Tasks:
              
Task   1.    Mood Board
Task   2.    Design Comps

6.2.1  Task 1: Mood Board

Design Hub will put together a mood board that will display the color scheme / design features and fonts that will be implemented in the website.

6.2.2  Task 2: Design Comps

The design comps will be built out based on the mood board nd overall look and feel of the website. This will help the visual designer create a strong consistent look to the web site.

6.3  Production Phase

List of Tasks:

Task 1: Build Site 
Task 2: Enter content

6.3.1  Task 1: Build Site

The Developer will build templates using web standards out each web page in Adobe Dreamweaver based on the wire frames.

6.3.2  Task 2: Enter Content

This is where the website really starts to take shape. Content and imagery will be entered into the templates and styled using a CSS Style sheet.


6.4  Evaluation Phase

Once the site has been built, Design Hub will evaluate the website by performing the following tasks:

Task 1:  Content Review
Task 2:  Code Validation
Task 3:  Browser resolution testing
Task 4:  Search engine optimization

6.4.1  Task 1: Content Review

The copy writer/ content manager will review all content to make sure all spelling and grammer is correct and all links, plug ins and pages are functioning.

6.4.2  Task 2: Code Validation

The Quality tester will validate the HTML and CSS, making sure all code follows the most current web standards.

6.4.3 Task 3: Browser resolution testing 

 The Quality Tester will check that the website performs well all major web browsers and alert the developer if there are any issues. 

6.4.4 Task 4:  Search engine optimization

The quality tester will test how well the website shows up in search results. 

6.5  Maintenance Phase

Once the site has gone live, the client will be taught how to manage the website.

6.5.1  Task 1: Content management training

 The project manager will meet with the client to teach them how to update the content and images.
